Arab Fighter Revealed for Tekken 7

The director of Tekken 7 Katsuhiro Harada revealed the final character design for the upcoming Tekken game serie and for the first time an Arab fighter in the series !!

The arab character is called Shaheen and is from the Saudi Arabia.

This character was first introduced by Hanada last year, when he gave a primary sketch of  the general look of the arab fighter . He said also that it was planned to vreate an arab character since 2008, but never happened beacause they were afraid of not understanding the Arab culture better.

Hanada said :

"To be honest, we did have an idea of an Arab fighter since 2008, but since most of the development team members are Japanese and do not know much about the Middle Eastern culture or clothes, we were not able to fully design it back then. But in recent years I (Harada) have been visiting places such as Dubai and Saudi Arabia, and many of the development staff members have been learning about Middle Eastern culture and designs" .

He also gave Middle Eastern fans the chance to give their ideas about the final character design. 

"If the TEKKEN fan community, especially those in the Middle Eastern area, end up liking this character, I would like to feature this character in the game. On the other hand, if this character is not received well by the Middle Eastern TEKKEN fan community members, there is a possibility that the character will be considerably changed or letting go of the idea of featuring this character in the game." Hanada had said.

It is up to Middle Eastern fans to decide whether Tekken 7 will have Shaheen character or not.
